What you’ll do

As part of the Mobile Team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining apps used by hundreds of thousands of Eneco and Oxxio customers every day. Maybe you are even one of them? We keep expanding the possibilities beyond the basics: checking energy use and prices or payment of invoices. The app will stimulate our customers to think in a more sustainable way and bring us closer to the Eneco goal of being climate neutral by 2035!

Is this about you?

Solid Android and Kotlin experience. Our app is built on top of a common Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) layer that is shared between iOS and Android;
Experience and a good understanding of reactive programming (Kotlin Coroutines and Flow);
Experience in developing and architecting large and complex apps for the Android Development platform;
Experience using MVVM patterns;
Preferably some experience with Jetpack Compose;
Excellent knowledge of the English language;
You need to be based in the Netherlands to apply for this opportunity.

You’ll be responsible for

Development of Android applications using Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM);
Optimization and maintenance of existing Android applications;
Collaboration with a team to define, develop, and ship new features;
Identification and correction of bottlenecks and fixing bugs;
Help with maintaining code quality, organization, and automatization.

This is where you’ll work

As a member of the Mobile Team, you will be part of an enthusiastic and collaborative group of people who are passionate about delivering features that help the users to get more insight in their energy consumption. Together we decide how to setup a new feature, maintain the existing code, find weak spots in the code and discuss how to refactor these to come to an even higher standard of code quality. Next to the usual team meetings (standup/refinement/planning/retrospective) we also have a daily (online) chat & coffee moment, where we come together and (mostly) talk about non-work related subjects, just to get to know each other on a different level!
