This entails providing innovative digital capabilities and intelligent solutions to achieve these goals. The geo data team is responsible for the geographical assets of the heat network as well as the GIS applications for maintaining this heat network. We started to expand & integrate our geodata products also to other domains in the energy transition, such as solar and wind markets, as well as customer markets.
We are currently using ArcGIS Pro/Online and work is in progress to implement the state-of-the-art ArcGIS Utility Networks on an ArcGIS Enterprise platform to replace the legacy software for the heat network. For ETL (extract, transform, load) we use FME, Airflow and Python. Company-wide distribution of raw geo-information is done using Snowflake while for creating maps and information products the ArcGIS platform is used.
You’ll be joining the geo data team that helps Eneco’s business units with their challenges of the energy transition by providing current, reliable and future-proof geodata solutions. This role offers a lot of room for pioneering & pro-actively bridging the gap between the energy transition & IT and really make an impact for Eneco. Your core activities will include:
We are looking for a Geo DevOps Engineer with expertise in GEO domain, with the following requirements:
You will work with 5 colleagues within the Geoteam, which is part of the Asset Lifecycle Management and Development Chapter. In the chapter you work together with architects, consultants and functional managers. The entire team is focused on optimizing and innovating our asset-related applications, which, in addition to GIS, also includes SAP and other applications. We ensure that Eneco takes care for its energy-assets optimally and we support the development of new energy assets. The team works in a DevOps way where enhancements are delivered in an iterative manner during sprints (facilitated by Azure DevOps), while maintaining existing solutions in the Azure cloud environment. To ensure high quality work, all our work is peer reviewed.
