What you’ll do

As Manager IT Enabling Platforms, you'll be in the lead of our IT- and OT-platforms. From Low-code and Data to Integration, Workplace, and Cloud. Platforms which are crucial for our operations spanning Customer B2C, Customer B2B, Assets & Energy Integration, and Support domains. As linking pin between technology strategy and business, you'll serve as the trusted advisor, facilitating strategic alignment of technology platforms to drive enterprise-wide value creation. This isn't just about managing technology; it's about orchestrating a harmonious integration of capabilities to drive our organization forward in the digital age. 

Is this about you?

You embody autonomy and dedication in your role as a people manager, supported by your expertise in business technology. You serve as the business liaison, adept at connecting with development teams and prioritizing continuity and business outcomes. You excel in stakeholder engagement, skillfully navigating diverse viewpoints and efficiently resolving conflicts. Furthermore you have:

  • A Master’s degree in computer science or business administration, or related (technical) discipline
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the working field of business technology & data combined with proven people experience in a managerial role
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing enabling technology platforms platforms (e.g Low-code, Data, Integration) in a challenging environment
  • Strong analytical thinking & problem-solving skills
  • Capable of bringing tech culture in a changing organization
  • Exceptional project management & organizational skills
  • Strong leadership and management skills 
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation and communication skills 
  • English professional working proficiency

You’ll be responsible for

Strategy 

  • Craft a visionary roadmap for maximizing use of technology to drive business value
  • Translate and implement tech & data strategy 
  • Identify future development needs (e.g. harmonization) and drive innovations.
  • Drive transformation of technology domain with stakeholders and co-create future state enterprise architecture

Enabling platforms

  • Lead development of our technology platforms that improve engineering processes and meet platform requirements in a cost effective, risk aware manner
  • Lead delivery of related (strategic) projects and programs across countries
  • Ensure alignment of technology departments with the needs of business, while identifying potential risks
  • Act as (technical) platform owner and shares knowledge on best-practices

Stakeholder management

  • Act as trusted advisor and as a primary point of contact for all development and operations of technology platforms
  • Proactively propose initiatives to business- and DTS-leadership to increase cost efficiency of technology platforms
  • Foster strong relationships with DTS-leads/heads and strategic technology partners, while effectively prioritizing and planning developments

Way of working

  • Lead the engineering culture and one Agile Way of Working in DTS-enabling teams
  • Co-create the development of the IT operating model and future way of working 
  • Stimulate and implement a uniform way of working WoW for enabling technology 
  • Maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of enabling technology by creating digital awareness & support

Leadership

  1. Set goals, monitor benefits/quality, and achieve results for teams
  2. Optimize individual performance, foster continuous development, and maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe work environment
  3. Act as a technical heavyweight and provide support to DTS-managers in the business domain
  4. Monitor partner, supplier, and vendor performance, lead when necessary, and share insights with Lead Business Technology

As our Manager Enabling Platforms, you will lead and mentor the Platform teams and oversee our business and mission critical platforms. You are part of the Management Team for Enabling Technology and will have direct oversight of 9 team members and indirect responsibility for a team of 44 individuals.

What we have to offer

Gross annual salary between €85.000 and €135.000

Including 8% holiday allowance, a good pension and parental leave.
