Eneco is continuously looking to expand its portfolio by participating in competitive tenders for concessions of new offshore windfarms in the Northwest of Europe. Besides that, Eneco actively assists its shareholders in developing offshore wind in Japan.

What you’ll do

You will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations and maintenance activities of the wind turbines at Prinses Amaliawindpark and Luchterduinen. You will ensure the seamless functioning of our operations, monitor performance, and uphold the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Your role will encompass reviewing alarms and malfunctions, implementing initiatives to enhance reliability, conducting safety walks and quality inspections offshore, and prioritising work scope with the contractors. You will be part of the WTG team looking after these windfarms, based in our O&M building in the port of IJmuiden.

You are comfortable working offshore and at heights, coping with the respective challenges this brings.

 

  • Technical education in a relevant field;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the wind industry and/or offshore O&M, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong team player, collaborating and connecting people;
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing English and Dutch;
  • Proactive nature with a demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive results;
  • Comfortable working offshore and at heights.

You’ll be responsible for

  • Compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements
  • Daily checking of new alarms, malfunctions and sub-optimal performance of the wind turbines
  • Weekly priority setting of maintenance activities with Vestas
  • Monitoring of safety and quality of the executed work and turbine status offshore
  • Tracking progress of all maintenance activities
  • Review service reports and method statements/risk assessments/procedures
  • Allocation and categorisation of downtime for analysis and reporting
  • Alarm analysis and eliminating structural problems by means of root cause analysis
  • Ensuring reliable day-ahead availability forecasts to the trade floor
  • Support with incident investigation

This is where you’ll work

The operations team is based in our office in the port of IJmuiden with a wonderful view over the North Sea. The Eneco Wind Operations Offshore (EWOO) department consists of dedicated WTG teams, a central Balance of Plant team, asset analysts, HSE and ecology specialists. You will report to the operations manager also based in IJmuiden. Our specialists are located at Eneco HQ in Rotterdam and the Borssele windfarms are managed from our office in Ostend . Eneco has a hybrid office policy: 40% of the week at the office, 40% working from home and 20% flexible.
