Pricing Analyst

Solliciteer direct
  • You work on analytical challenges in the dynamic energy market.

  • You are at the heart of Eneco, right between sales, trading, and production.

  • You contribute to accelerating the energy transition.

Why choose for Eneco?

The energy transition is in full swing, and Eneco is at the forefront. Our goal? To be fully climate neutral by 2035. This applies to our own business activities and the energy we supply to our customers. We develop our own wind and solar parks and help our customers make sustainable steps every day with smart products and sound advice. The Netherlands is switching to smarter, cleaner, and more sustainable energy. Everyone has their reasons for this. Some want to contribute to a better climate. Others switch because their neighbors do, or they enjoy saving. At Eneco, we want to help everyone take the next sustainable step. We're looking for the best people to make it possible. People enthusiastic about our mission "sustainable energy for everyone" and who want to further develop their talents at Eneco. Your future EET (Eneco Energy Trade) Sourcing & Pricing colleagues enjoy solving complex problems, achieving financial results, and contributing to the energy transition.

What you’ll do

The energy transition greatly impacts the Eneco Group and transitioning customers to sustainable sources. This shift manifests in changed customer behavior, changing needs, evolving regulations, corresponding market processes, and advanced digitization. Commodity risks increase, products become complex affecting processes and IT systems. This role demands deep knowledge of the energy transition, the market, customers, and purchasing/wholesale processes/products. As a Pricing Analyst, you hold P&L responsibility for customer portfolios. You continuously monitor the supply-demand balance for all sales channels and commodities to stabilize Eneco's total risk profile and mitigate risks. You possess knowledge of all aspects of volume management. If you have no experience in the energy market but are self-starting, you're still encouraged to apply. Experience in trade/analysis is a plus, but not required.

Is this about you?

You've experienced a rapid learning curve and can quickly adapt to new environments and situations through thorough analysis. You're courageous, positive, and execution-driven, achieving set goals in a rapidly changing organization. In the dynamic energy market, changes are daily. This calls for a drive for innovation. You always strive for better, evident in your work. You're proactive, innovative, and challenge your business partners and colleagues to do the same. You can perform at the highest level because you:

  • Have completed an academic education.
  • Display personal leadership characterized by assertiveness, involvement, earning trust, and taking responsibility, actively seeking opportunities and risks, yet maintaining calm.
  • Are analytically strong with modeling skills.
  • Possess professional skills to structure, coordinate, and improve critical business processes.
  • Have entrepreneurial drives: result-oriented, communicative, creative, and adaptable.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve results.

You’ll be responsible for

General tasks of the Sourcing & pricing team:

  • Managing the P&L of the customer portfolio, both within EET and the purchasing P&L within Sales B2C and B2B.
  • Managing the risk of the customer portfolio.
  • Close collaboration with other Sales departments to reduce Eneco's risk profile.

Specifically:

  • Develop a vision and strategy on pricing integrating market, customer, and risk dynamics.
  • Create pricing models and continuously update them based on changing market and customer conditions.
  • Responsible for executing commodity purchase/adjustment orders to continuously hedge the (future) customer demand through traders.
  • Determine risk premiums and provide insight into results, including suggestions for improvement.
  • Support Sales in commercial tenders and customer-specific pricing.
  • Coordinate with sales channels, Risk, and EET regarding pricing, products, and risks.
