What you’ll do

As Procurement Sustainability Officer you create a noticeable sustainability impact across Eneco's Supply Chains, with clear focus per spend category and you make a noticeable difference in the field of sustainable procurement which makes that Eneco is successful in ESG ratings. You manage our supplier CSR assessment program and make sure that it is fully integrated in the way of working; buyers and suppliers participate actively, follow-up (reward or improvement plan) on scorecard outcome and higher scores overall.
Eneco has a Procurement Sustainability Policy that you bring to the next level. In the end through your efforts Procurement achieves a more sustainable Eneco supplier portfolio.

Is this about you?

Most important is that you carry sustainability close to your heart and you are not afraid to show it. You have guts, a high energy level, a positive attitude and execution power with which you are able to mobilizes and influence internal and external stakeholders based on your expertise. You are a strong networker ("connect & collaborate"), constructive and confrontational if necessary and you are able to quickly familiarize yourself with new environments and situations.

Further you bring:
  • Academic work & thinking level,
  • ≥ 4 years of relevant work experience with CSR, project management and Stakeholder Management,
  • You have an affinity with purchasing processes, systems and data
  • Completed ISO20400 training,
  • Clear vision of Sustainable Procurement strategy and awareness of relevant developments in the market,
  • Experience in the field of CO2 reduction and/or circularity and/or CSR risk management in the value chain,
  • Tactical insight,
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language is a must (oral and written), German and French are a plus

You’ll be responsible for

  • Support and advise the Procurement MT,
  • Promote and clarify the Procurement Sustainability Policy across the Procurement function, business stakeholders and to suppliers,
  • Actively support, provide knowledge, advice and guide buyers, investment buyers and category leads in their efforts to procure sustainably,
  • Translate implications of new developments regarding sustainable sourcing & contracting into the Eneco context,
  • Coordinate, evaluate and improve the supplier CSR assessment program with buyers, suppliers and supporting assessment platform,
  • Integrate the sustainable procurement way of working in the different procurement related systems and templates and set-up, maintain and keep the toolbox for sustainable procurement updated containing working instructions, templates and guidelines (policy to practice),
  • Drive improvement on procurement sustainability performance and actively support and co-execute projects in the context of making the Eneco supplier portfolio and purchased products & services more sustainable,
  • Improve reporting mechanism for sustainable procurement together with the Sourcing Excellence Officer
  • Perform control measures and analyze reporting outcome to ensure quality of data and performance in relation to the sustainability performance,
  • Share (inspiring) examples of sustainability in tenders and agreements, lessons learned, sustainability projects and progress with suppliers in One Procurement events, in articles and posts on Intranet and the Eneco supplier website,
  • Provide input for the ESG ratings regarding sustainable procurement policy, actions and performance

This is where you’ll work

The Procurement department is responsible for the procurement within all Eneco companies, and is organized based on the following Procurement Teams: 'Professional Services', 'IT, Innovation and Operations', 'Renewable Heat', 'Renewable Power' and 'Wind Offshore', supported by 'Procurement Excellence'. 

You'll be working next to the Sustainability Development Officer in support of the CPO and the Procurement MT. Your role implies that you are not part of the teams mentioned above, but will be working with them closely.

between €62.000 and €87.500
