Product Manager

At Eneco we’re transforming the way we think about energy and our digital product management team is at the heart of this change. We’re looking for a product manager for Home Energy Management to join our team to help us drive innovation in energy for customers across the Netherlands.

 

As our Product Manager, you are a strong communicator and good listener, able to present ideas coherently leading to achieving a consensus, even where stakeholders are from a diverse range of business areas. You have an user centric approach to product development, leading your teams to focus on the genuine end user need above the views of internal stakeholders. Furthermore you possess:

• Bachelor or Masters degree in a relevant business area.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Product Manager or Senior/ Lead Product Owner, leading a product or product area.
• Experience in commercial and fast-paced environments, specifically in desktop and mobile products.
• Demonstrable experience in devising and selling your own vision for the products you have been responsible for.
• A strong technical understanding and ability to communicate with technical and design/UX teams to lead their and your own team through to delivering the best possible products.
• Excellent collaboration skills with an ability to gain the respect/buy-in from your stakeholders across Eneco.
• A demonstrable ability to understands the needs and economics of a business and the market around it.

You will be leading a team of researchers, designers and developers to produce products that our B2B/B2C customers will love and that will drive a significantly deeper relationship between them and Eneco. You will come from either a B2B or B2C background but will have a demonstrable track record of delivering products that customers love and rate highly. You will be able to demonstrate your stakeholder management skills and how you have taken a customer centric approach to your previous product development work. Furthermore your responsibilities include:

• Taking a customer centric approach to product management, while delivering genuine value/revenue increases for the business.
• Evangelising (internally and/or externally) your vision for the product(s) that you will be responsible for - you need to get the rest of the business excited and supporting everything you deliver.
• A demonstrable ability to understand the needs of the customer and the economics of the business and the market around it and to ensure that everything you do, and that the team delivers, is aligned with these.
• A user centric approach to product development, leading your teams to focus on the genuine end user need above the views of internal stakeholders.
• A data and user driven approach to product management - you won’t make decisions based solely on hunches, you will validate your decisions with data as much as possible.
• A pragmatic and strategic mindset that will ensure that the resources of the company are precisely used to deliver optimum value to our customers while maximising turnover and profit.
• A good technical understanding/ability to communicate with technical and design/UX teams to lead everyone to deliver the best possible products.
• Leading delivery teams in a truly agile environment - releasing new product increments regularly, testing with customers and iterating to constantly improve.
• Excellent collaboration skills with an ability to gain the respect/buy-in from your colleagues.
• A strong communicator and good listener, able to present ideas coherently leading to achieving a consensus, even where stakeholders are from a diverse range of business areas and seniority.
• Experience creating products that customers love and rate highly will really help you in this role.
