Product Owner Energy Operations

We are looking for someone to take on a facilitating role in our team, ensuring that our team members can effectively participate in the operational and change management processes of Eneco Energy Trade, the trading and integration business unit of Eneco. The Energy Trading department serves as the control center for Eneco's asset portfolio and facilitates the trading of volumes on global energy markets. Major developments take place in modernizing our (technical) landscape, this will enable us to achieve our ambitious goals as outlined in the EET strategic plan 2023-2027.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for prioritizing and aligning our team activities with other departments, both within and outside Eneco. You will actively participate in our SAFe framework and will lead one of eight development teams to deliver features while maintaining operational stability. The team consists of 8 highly skilled developers and engineers, with a wide variety of specialisms. You will coordinate the delivery of both small and large changes and features, both within our team and externally. This involves being involved in planning, monitoring progress, and reporting results to the various stakeholders

The tasks are highly diverse and include implementing new assets like batteries, regulatory changes, operational improvements, and expansion project to other countries and/or products . Your main focus will be to contribute to the objectives of Eneco and EET in a process-oriented manner.

• You have a bachelor or master level education (HBO or WO) with a preference for a technical background.
• You have a can-do mentality, work independently, and proactively. You are cooperative and get things done.
• You have good communication skills in Dutch and English
• You have a helicopter view and are able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You can act both a strategic, tactical and operational level You have experience in process management.
• Subject matter expertise in the energy industry is a plus.

• You prioritize, take ownership, and bring process knowledge and improvements into projects on time within budget. You are the linking pin in delivery of our objectives.
• You act as a coach for colleagues, both within and outside of EET. You interact at a daily basis with a wide range of collegues – commercial structurers, traders, UX-designers, IT-developers, 24/7-operators, data scientists, asset owners.
• You translate business requirements into an IT development scope. You make process improvements and translate them into operational instructions and standard solutions.
• You have an understanding of energy market developments without losing sight of practical application.
• You are capable of implementing improvements individually or through others in existing processes or establishing new processes in collaboration with commercial teams and/or assets.

The Energy Operations team consists of 19 individuals, including 11 analysts/coordinators responsible for project execution and 8 asset dispatchers responsible for commercial dispatching.
