From the Data & Technology Services department, we are working to make Eneco a data-driven organization that bases its decisions and actions on customer, product, asset, and market data.

What you’ll do

In Data & Technology Services, the Data Services department is responsible for executing data projects for the Business and fueling the growth of data capabilities by acting as an incubator for the development of data products.

As Data engineer you have an essential role in transforming Eneco's projects into stable, robust productionized data driven applications. The data engineer deeply understands how data pipelines behave in production, and uses this knowledge to enable implementation, optimization, and maintenance of complex data flows. You are an enabler who plays a pivotal role in the 'democratization' of data: you help to retrieve, store, transform and disclose data for use in data driven solutions.

Is this about you?

You get energy of solving complex issues with ingestions, but you do not lose sight of being able to properly maintain the ingestions. Where necessary, you coach your colleagues in realizing and maintaining ingestions.

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a Data Engineering role.
  • Academic work and thinking level.
  • Experience in continuous integration and continuous delivery, Snowflake or other data cloud solutions, SQL, Databricks, Docker, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, Python.
  • Knowledge of concepts/components such as warehouse, data lake, data mesh, data vault, data fabric, and streaming solutions.

You’ll be responsible for

  • Building and maintaining data pipelines, note that this may require working in the evening or weekend.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies to deliver the most efficient solutions for the business.
  • Support the team in learning new technologies.
  • Advice the organization in the best suitable solution to retrieve, store, transform and disclose data.

This is where you’ll work

Data & Technology Services has multiple departments; the Data Services department has two teams - a Data Management Services team and a Data Product Services team. You will be part of the Data Product Services team that assist the business in using the various parts of the Enterprise Data Platform effectively to create customer and business value.
