The Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) team has a strategic leading and practical supporting role in this. As Strategic Portfolio Manager with, in this role, the specific focus on Wind, you will strengthen the team with your expertise.

What you’ll do

SPM develops and maintains the integrated portfolio risk model for EET. This ensures that the portfolio domains of PM (Sourcing & Pricing and Portfolio Optimisation)  have the right models  and decision-support processes in place in time, in order to be able to respond adequately to the internal and external factors that affect  the value and  risks that may occur within the total portfolio.   SPM is also responsible for developing and maintaining the fundamental pricing models used within EET (such as power, gas, CO2, SpSp and   flex models)  and the wind resource models used to value, contract and manage PPAs with wind farms. 

In this position you contribute to the above, with a specific focus on wind.  You have experience with long-term modelling of wind resources and are familiar with state-of-the-art methods, tools, reports  and experts related to this topic, on the basis of which ansset-specific and portfolio-relevant analyses are made and measures are taken.

•    Minimum wo working and thinking level
•    5-10 years of relevant experience with wind resource modelling
•    Leadership: has strong people management skills to lead the various project teams within SPM
•    Yourexcellent collaboration and communication skills

You’ll be responsible for

  • Wind resource assessments
  • Identifying, developing and implementing future model and process requirements, driven by changes in customer and asset characteristics on the one hand and market development and changing laws and regulations on the other. There is a lot of interaction with PO  and S&P teams of  PM for the improvement of models and decision-support processes within PO and S&P.
  • Project management: projects carried out within SPM are: Development and maintenance of a new integrated portfolio risk model. This is used both for strategic management for the growth of the Eneco portfolio and for accountability towards MB and SB; Development and maintenance of new fundamental pricing models (such as electricity, gas, CO2, SpSp, flex). The PO and S&P teams within the domain and SO teams (within EET) can use this for the forward-looking valuation of energy flows from assets and customers;    Establishment and maintenance of wind resource models that are crucial for contracting and  risk management on external PPAs with wind farms;
  • Proactively identify how external developments can influence  the portfolio domain (such as determining the impact of a renewed electricity market in the UK or the splitting of the Dutch market into different zones);
  • Contribute to the medium-term vision with regard to energy transition and associated opportunities/threats for Eneco Group's portfolios;
  • Representing SPM, PM and EET within Eneco.

Strategic Portfolio  Management (SPM) is part of Portfolio Management (PM) within  Eneco Energy Trade (EET), Eneco's international trade department. With a diverse team of more than a hundred highly educated employees, we are working on an optimal market vision that supports Eneco's sustainability objectives.  EET forms a busy, sometimes hectic working environment that requires a lot of personal initiative and insight. We quickly switch with each other in an informal, collegial atmosphere. 

SPM's strategic portfolio managers keep a close eye on developments in the various energy markets  and laws and regulations and signal them within PM.  In addition,  they draw up business cases  for  this and create models / processes for future decision support.  In addition, they play a crucial role in the realization of these model and process improvements by carrying out the  improvement projects themselves.  They are  therefore the developers of Eneco's future portfolio management  and therefore actively engage  with Portfolio managers within S  &P and PO, but also with Traders, Asset Ontwikkelers and Deal Structurers within Eneco .

between €80.000 and €123.000
