Software Tester

As a Software Tester, you'll join forces with the Product Owner, developers and other QA colleagues from the web and front-end teams to define user stories, acceptance criteria and definitions of done. Your main focus will be on the web and app front-end systems; you'll ensure that they function properly in conjunction with complex back-end systems. Additionally, you'll create and execute test scripts for both manual and automated tests while furthering test automation (because who likes double work!). Last but not least, you will be part of the Eneco Test community of practice where you can collaborate with other testers to spot improvements in products and methods. 

We are looking for a colleague with a can-do personality who enjoys working in a multicultural environment. You are pragmatic, solution-oriented and a team player with good communication skills. 

In addition, you have: 

• At least 5 years of experience in preparing and performing tests on multiple distinct systems (at least two); 
• Relevant experience with fully independent mobile App and web testing, experience with testing in combination with DXP, API’s and CMS is a plus. 
• Knowledge of and experience with tooling in testing and QA (such as Azure DevOps, Test plans, Tosca, Selenium, Cypress); 
• Experience in automated testing and CI/CD concepts and creating and maintaining complex automated test suites (incl. working with containers and container orchestration tools and deploying software).

• Designing and implementing test plans: Develop test plans and test cases based on business requirements of functional and non-functional specification for the Eneco Apps and Websites. You will understand the requested functionality and develop test cases that can ensure that the software is robust and meets quality requirements.
• Identifying and reporting defects: Log identified defects/bugs so that developers can understand and fix issues. 
• Collaborating with Product owner and developers: Work closely with work Product Owner and developers to ensure the right test focus and implementation of appropriate fixes. 
• Creating and maintaining automated tests: Create and automate tests that can be run at various stages of the CI/CD pipeline
