    What you’ll do

    As Structurer S&O you will be responsible for structuring and optimizing existing renewable contracts within our portfolio. This involves contracts with wind and solar installations mainly in the Netherlands and Belgium. You build your relations network, understand the content and dynamics of PPAs and have an eye for different interests involved. You know how to resolve issues with creativity to reach a successful deal. In short, you create and get results out of commercial opportunities.

     

    Besides structuring and optimizing existing renewable contracts, you are involved in the origination of new wind and/or solar contracts. You will do this together with your fellow team members. This involves proactively seeking new initiatives with external clients for sustainable structured agreements that bring value and/or mitigate the risks of Eneco. Your knowledge of the market and your network allow you to act quickly and close the right deals.

     

    Together with your colleagues of the Structuring & Origination team and with your dedication to be successful, EET will be in a position to manage its portfolio as good as possible and to maintain and extend its portfolio in the North Western part of the European energy market.

    • You have around 3 years of relevant commercial work experience, understanding of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), knowledge of the SDE subsidy and related risks such as imbalance and profile risks;
    • You have knowledge of the NWE energy wholesale market, and understand the roles and responsibilities of TSO’s and other stakeholders;
    • You are proactive and take initiative, have a winners mentality and have the ambition to improve and grow in your career;
    • You are an excellent team player in bringing people together and love to collaborate with other colleagues.
    • You have a basic understanding of, and capability to communicate in the Dutch language. 

    You’ll be responsible for

    As Structurer S&O you will be lead account manager for several large PPAs in our portfolio. This involves maintaining the excellent commercial relation, negotiate contract amendments from time to time and together with department Portfolio Optimization make sure the expected contract PnL is realized. You work together with colleagues within the Eneco organization to arrange for all required approvals to close new or renegotiated contracts and make sure internal alignment is realized to implement these. So in short:  

     

    • Renegotiating/reselling existing contracts;
    • Contract management of existing contracts, which involves excellent communication with your EET colleagues in order to implement the contracts accordingly;
    • Developing a network of relations and counterparties and translating the Eneco strategy into new opportunities;
    • Structuring and negotiating new contracts.

    Structuring & Origination (S&O) is a department within the business unit Eneco Energy Trade (EET) – the international trading department of Eneco – where we work with about 140 professional colleagues on the success of Eneco. The department is a busy and sometimes hectic environment. We work in an agile and communicate in an informal and collegial manner.  

     

    S&O covers multiple commercial areas (i.e. renewables, flex assets, corporate PPA’s and structured trading) across the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and United Kingdom. Your focus will first lie with contracting of renewables, but you will have the opportunity to work in close relation with S&O colleagues that focus on different commercial areas  which gives you the opportunity to learn more and develop yourself in a broader context than just renewables.

     

    Our S&O team consists of approximately 24 colleagues, with a diverse and nicely balanced background (e.g. gender, nationality and age) and with the ambition to support the mission of Eneco Group to become carbon neutral in 2035.

    between €65.000 and €95.000
