What are you going to do?

Eneco has a large number of entities - in the Netherlands and abroad - which collectively have a turnover of approximately € 5 billion. The cash flow moves across a large number of bank accounts and in various cash pools and takes place in various currencies and transactions in dynamic money markets.

In the midst of this complex playing field, you bear responsibility for Eneco's financial position. From liquidity management to Treasury compliance. From preparing reports for the Board of Directors to managing relationships with the business. You take care of it all. You look ahead, understand the business interests and respond to the hectic of the day. You act, think and respond to ensure that Eneco's financial position is as good and as efficient as possible.

You are responsible for:

  • With your knowledge and experience you manage the various bank accounts and contracts as well as arranging bank guarantees on behalf of the business. You monitor, update and report by using the Treasury Management System.
  • In addition, you meet the compliance requirements of the bank/external relations, such as KYC (Know Your Customer) issues.
  • You are co-responsible for managing and further shaping the Eneco's Inhouse bank.
  • From your undisputed Treasury and financial expertise you ensure the right balance in liquid assets whereby you perform transactions with the money market at the best (interest) conditions and minimum risks.
  • By the smart and proper deployment of balance management tools you know how to minimize (interest) costs, reduce currency exposures and optimize the purchase and sale of currencies.
  • You are responsible for preparing and updating the long term cash forecast of Eneco based on the budget, received forecasts from large Business Units and information obtained from M&A and Tax colleagues.
  • You determine the funding needs in the forecast and take, in consultation with the corporate treasurer, the decision to withdraw funds from the market by using our ECP (Commercial Paper) program, among others.
  • You are the primary contact within Eneco regarding funds for internal and external relations.
  • With your open and honest attitude you, together with your team, are accountable to the Executive Board for the various Treasury activities.

What do you bring?

You don't shy away from challenges but seek them out. You like to master complex financial management cases. You have an eye for the business interests within a changing organization and you like to look for cooperation with the business. You have integrity and take responsibility. 

And on top of that, you bring the following with you:
  • Working experience on a Bachelor or Master level,
  • 3-7 years of relevant work experience (within cash management),
    Experience with corporate finance is a plus.
  • You are enthusiastic and driven to make your work a success, concepts such as accuracy and customer focus are obvious to you,
  • You are communicatively strong; you know how to make contact with various stakeholders and get things done,
  • Good knowledge of and working experience with Microsoft Office and Treasury Management Systems (is a plus),
  • Good command of the Dutch language is an advantage.

Where are you going to work?

As a Treasury Analyst, you will strengthen the Treasury department. Treasury manages, controls and monitors the financial positions of Eneco, such as loans, financial flows and the associated risks. And not only that: Treasury also focuses on the optimization of these financial positions and the logistics of money flows. This is a challenge that eight professionals in the team- together with you nine - tackle with both hands, professionally and with enthusiasm. This open and direct team is known for its Rotterdam 'can do' mentality.

What do we have to offer?

  • We reward you with a gross annual salary between €44.000 and €71.500 (annual salary including 8% holiday allowance based on a full-time annual contract), depending on knowledge and experience;
  • An additional flexible budget of 14% of your gross annual salary (for buying extra days of i.e.);
