Structuring & Origination, Commodities & Flex

As Structure S&O you will be responsible for origination and structuring of new asset contracts with clients that help them in realizing their sustainable targets (f.e. battery projects and E-boilers). You work in an international market. You build your relations network, understand the content and dynamics of asset contracts, have an eye for different interests involved and you know how to resolve issues with creativity to reach a successful deal. In short, you create and get results out of commercial opportunities.

Besides closing new contracts and renegotiating existing contracts, you are involved in the asset developments of Eneco and proactively seeking new initiatives with external clients for sustainable structured agreements that bring value and/or mitigate the risks of Eneco. Your knowledge of the market and your network allow you to act quickly and close the right deals.

Together with your colleagues of the Structuring & Origination team and with your dedication to be successful, EET will be in a position to manage its portfolio as good as possible and to maintain and extend its portfolio in the North Western part of the European energy market.

As Structurer S&O you will be responsible for commercial negotiations with counterpaties. You work together with colleagues within the Eneco organization to arrange for all required approvals to close new contracts and make sure internal alignment is realized to implement these.

• Developing a network of relations and counterparties and translating the Eneco strategy into new opportunities;
• Structuring and negotiating new contracts;
• Renegotiating/reselling existing contracts;
• Contract management of existing contracts.

You work together as one team to deliver on one mission. In doing so, you are proactive in helping to accelerate the energy transition. You create space to exchange insights and opinions with colleagues and take responsibility for contributing to the joint plan.

• More than 5 year of relevant commercial work experience, including setting up business cases and negotiating standard and non-standard contracts;
• Broad knowledge of the NWE energy wholesale market, expertise in the roles and responsibilities of TSO's and other stakeholders;
• You are proactive and take initiative, have a winners mentality and want to improve yourself;
• Experience with EFET/ISDA/PPA/GPA/GSA are considered pros.

Structuring & Origination (S&O) is a department within the business unit Eneco Energy Trade (EET) - the international trading department of Eneco - where we work with about 140 professional colleagues on the success of Eneco. The department is a busy and sometimes hectic environment that requires proactivity and thoroughness. We are agile and communicate in an informal and collegial manner.  

S&O consists of 3 specialties, where S&O Commodities & Flex bears the responsibility for closing (non-) standards sourcing and sales contracts for the supply of electricity and gas with large counterparties. Also S&O C&F manages the contracts with power plants, battery projects, gas storages and tso's. Next to that we actively search for flexibility to balance the Eneco portfolio and the team is involved in larger projects and negotiations of other Eneco business units that require knowledge and expertise of the energy commodity markets.

Other specialties are aimed at contracting wind and solar production and selling that production to large corporate clients (S&O Client sources) and developing commercial activities in the UK (S&O UK).
