You will start your career in the heart of Energy Trading

Eneco Energy Trade (EET) is Eneco's international trade division. The place where demand meets supply. Every day, more than one hundred and thirty motivated and highly trained employees work to achieve an optimal market vision that supports Eneco's objectives.
These specialists quickly connect with each other in an informal, transparent and collegial atmosphere.

During the two-year traineeship, you'll work on three eight-month assignments at different departments within Eneco Energy Trade. In addition, you'll receive a personal leadership course and continuous support.

During our traineeship, you'll get to know different specialisations. The EET traineeship focuses on Portfolio Management, Trading, Structuring and Operations. In addition, you will work on 3 assignments, for examples:

-You look for opportunities on trading markets and develop strategies (Trading assignment);

-You negotiate large complex contracts with wind energy producers, expand our sustainable portfolio and develop and test new propositions in the market. You participate in the deal team (Structuring assignment);

-You'll push to give and maintain Eneco Energy Trade's lead through real-time analyses and optimisations (data science, systems and control), research and implementation assignments in the field of forecasting and asset optimisation (Analysis assignment);

  • You know how to solve complex situations quickly. You approach these situation from an analytical point of view. You are also decisive and can explain or present this to your colleagues.

  • A completed Master's degree in a technical, economic or quantitative direction;
  • Strong analytical skills, an entrepreneurial mentality, you are eager to learn and quickly pick up new areas of interest;
  • You graduated no longer than 2 years ago;
  • You have a great interest in sustainable energy and a sustainable future as a whole;

Okay, that sounds great, what's next?

1. You can apply via this website. We would like to receive your CV and a motivation. We are also looking forward to your list of grades. We will let you know within a few days if you can proceed to the next round: the personal interview.

2. Online assessment of 90 minutes. We'd like to know even more about you, are you also suited to Eneco Energy Trade in terms of competencies, IQ, attitude and learning skills? We'll find out by means of an online assessment. We'll give you feedback a week after completing the assessment.

3. Personal interview: we are of course very curious about the person behind that beautiful CV. That is why we would like to get to know you. Between May 13th and May 27th, we will conduct selection interviews.

4. Selection day 17 June
On the 29th of May we will let you know which candidates we will invite for the selection day. If you are one of the lucky ones, we will send you an invitation for this special day on 17 June. This day will be dedicated to a group assignment, a case study interview and a personal interview. Of course you will receive more information a week before.

5. Contract!
If you have successfully passed the selection day you will receive a contract from us and your summer holiday can really start. We look forward to seeing you as our colleague on September 1st!
