Eneco is an integrated, independent and growing international energy company. We operate in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom. Based on our mission ‘everyone’s sustainable energy’, we help consumers and companies switch to sustainable energy. We invest in wind farms, district heating, solar parks and storage solutions in order to increase the supply of renewable energy. Furthermore, we develop innovative products and services that allow our clients to take control over the manner in which they generate, store, use or share energy. Offshore Wind makes an important contribution to Eneco's ambition to further scale up its sustainable energy production.
Offshore wind is characterized by lightning-fast development of technology, as well as changing market conditions and regulations. Eneco's is currently operating 5 offshore wind farms, Prinses Amaliawindpark, Luchterduinen, Blauwwind, Two Towers, Crosswind. This will grow with the completion of Ecowende (HKW6) next year. Eneco is also shareholder in the Belgian offshore windfarms Norther and Seamade. Further growth of our portfolio will come from our development of new offshore wind farms in Northwest Europe. Eneco Wind Operations Offshore (EWOO) makes an important contribution to continuous improvement based on its knowledge and experience.
As a WTG Operations engineer, you will ensure the optimal technical performance of our wind turbines by supporting safe and efficient maintenance operations. You work closely with OEMs, service partners, and internal specialists, both onshore and offshore. Your work combines inspection visits with data-driven performance monitoring and improvement initiatives.
In your first months, you will follow GWO safety training and become familiar with our turbines, systems, and tools. Over time, you will develop into a key technical sparring partner for operations, asset management, and project teams.
We’re looking for candidates who are currently based in the Netherlands. At this time, the salary level for this role does not allow us to offer visa sponsorship.
You’ll be based at our operations office in the port of IJmuiden, with a direct view of the North Sea. Here, you’ll work alongside experienced WTG engineers, analysts, HSE specialists, and marine coordinators. You’ll report to the Operations Manager and collaborate closely with our specialists in Rotterdam and Ostend.
