What you’ll do

As a Observability Engineer at Eneco, you play a crucial role in developing and maintaining end-to-end monitoring solutions for various IT chains. You closely collaborate with a team of internal and external specialists to enhance the effectiveness of IT management. In this role, you:

  • analyze and define new monitoring solutions.
  • monitor and report on the progress of ongoing projects and new initiatives.
  • maintain relationships between various parties and vendors.
  • explore and propose improvements in the field of monitoring.
  • advise on operational processes to achieve optimal results.

Is this about you?

You have a background in a technical / engineering role and are skilled in managing various tasks. You are flexible, possess excellent communication skills, and have an eye for detail. In addition, you have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience within an IT organization.
  • Experience in project management within complex environments.
  • Broad experience in monitoring solutions and developing best practices for monitoring, both technically and tactically.
  • Preferably experience with Dynatrace and Splunk, although this is not a strict requirement. If you have not used these specific tools before, you are willing to learn.

You’ll be responsible for

  • Supporting the team in analyzing and defining new monitoring solutions.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the progress of ongoing projects and new initiatives.
  • Maintaining relationships between various parties and vendors.
  • Exploring improvements in the field of monitoring and making improvement proposals.
  • Providing advice on operational processes to achieve optimal results.

This is where you’ll work

You will be working within the IT Ops Monitoring and Testing team as part of DTS-Enabling Technology. In addition to your direct colleagues in the team, you will collaborate closely with internal IT teams across various chains within the organization and external partners or suppliers. We operate in a DevOps environment using an agile methodology, collectively ensuring diversity and inclusion.

The team consists of 4 monitoring engineers and 2 Tosca engineers who are supported by external partners. Indirect colleagues include platform/application owners, DevOps engineers, and product owners from various chains.

What we have to offer

Gross annual salary between €55.000 and €78.000

Including 8% holiday allowance, a good pension and parental leave.
