What you’ll do

Step into the role of Manager IT Operations and take the lead of our organization's critical 24/7 IT and OT infrastructure, ensuring constant security and reliability. Collaborate closely with our external partners to shape our forward-thinking IT infrastructure strategy. Your scope includes overseeing Application Monitoring, Infra Monitoring, Database Management, Cloud Infrastructure, On-premise Infrastructure, and Tech Control; keeping a keen eye on security, cost control, and risk & compliance. Drive our strategic partners to peak performance while mentoring and guiding your teams towards delivering top-notch results for Eneco.

You thrive in stakeholder engagement, adept at navigating diverse perspectives and effectively resolving conflicts. Furthermore you have:

  • A Master’s degree in computer science or related (technical) discipline
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the working field of IT Operations
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing 24/7 IT and OT and generic IT services in a challenging environment
  • Proven knowledge of recent and modern business technology for utilities, energy or natural resources
  • Proven track record in people management and being able to empower teams
  • Strong analytical thinking & problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional project management & organizational skills
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent business case writing 
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation and communication skills
  • English professional working proficiency

You’ll be responsible for

Strategy

  • Co-create the IT infrastructure strategy from an enterprise point-of-view with internal and external partners;
  • Identify collective and individual future development needs in  generic IT services and IT/OT infrastructure and drive the transformation;
  • Spot innovations within the field of IT infrastructure and feed the Lead Strategic Partner Management with relevant opportunities for (strategic) partnerships.

Generic IT Operations

  • Lead operations of full 24/7 secure OT & IT infrastructure and act as the ‘guardian’ of availability, reliancy and compliancy;
  • Lead development & maintenance in a cost effective, risk aware manner;
  • Lead delivery of related (strategic) projects and programs across countries and act as overall owner of the IT services & Operations.

Security Operations

  • Lead optimization, discovering ability and protection coverage of critical systems and sensitive information to digital attacks;
  • Ensure adequate control of information security to ensure the availability, integrity and confidentiality of services delivered;
  • Identify potential risks in the implementation and ensures the implementation and monitoring of the risk policy and compliance management.

Operational Partner Management

  • Manage operations with technology partners on an operational-level and direct  execution of partner-contracts to ensure quality and delivery.
  • Report on identified service KPI’s delivered by technology partners.

Stakeholder management

  • Act as "trusted advisor" to DTS leadership on IT services and build close relationships with local business directors, DTS leads and strategic partners
  • Drive leaders to balance trade-offs between speed to market, cost, risk and quality and prioritize and plan developments.

Leadership

  • Manage and coach the team of 38 people, including 7 direct reports.
  • Optimize individual performance and ensure continuous development, professional behaviour, and positive, inclusive and safe working atmosphere
  • Set goals, monitors benefits/quality and secure results and goals for the teams.

As our Manager IT Operations, you will lead and mentor the IT Operations team, oversee the performance of our external partners, and most importantly, serve as the guardian of Eneco's reliant, compliant, and secure 24x7 IT and OT infrastructure. You will have direct oversight of 7 team members and indirect responsibility for a team of 38 individuals.

What we have to offer

Gross annual salary between €85.000 and €135.000

Including 8% holiday allowance, a good pension and parental leave.
